Summary
This is the lone remaining natural area in the city of Santa Ana. The city has been focused on preserving it, and it’s pubic useability has greatly improved as a result. It now has new playgrounds, improved walkways, and is overall cleaner from the trash pickup efforts. The park has different sections with separate access points to each section. Two access points are off Memory Lane, one for the Nature Center and Archery Range, and another for the main playground area and sport fields (lawn bowling, basketball, tennis). The third access point is off Main Street for a secondary playground area, but also leads to the main playground area. The Santiago Creek watershed runs right through this area, so you will see a rockbed that runs alongside the park that can fill up with water after rain. The park is 34 acres so several activities are available here: lawn bowling, archery, tennis, events at the nature center, walking, picnicking, etc.
