Summary
Inside the unincorporated equestrian community of Orange Park Acres, is Santiago Oaks Regional Park. A series of residential roads inside the community must be taken to get there. Upon arrival, a vehicle parking fee is taken by an attendant during regular hours of operation. Numerous coast live oaks are naturally found here, however, they are far less than they should be. A fire plagued the area in 2007 and again in 2017. The most damaging was the 2007 Windy Ridge Fire, which destroyed several centuries-old oaks on location. Restoration efforts have significantly helped and are ongoing. One side of the park has a playground, sink, bathroom, several picnic tables (see photos), and access to the trails. This side is in wilderness so children should be watched closely. The other side is often used for wedding ceremonies. It has a wooden awning on a grass lawn with some sycamore trees (see photo). There is also a wood cabin building next to it that can be rented for receptions. The Santiago Creek runs through the trail system here, and leads to a manmade waterfall/dam on the park’s south end.
Fee if wanting to reserve
Wedding ceremony fees were $700 in 2020. This also included a changing area onsite. Visit the OC Parks Receptions and Weddings Page for details and contact information. The picnic areas may or may not be reservable. Contact (714) 973-6620 for moe.
