Irvine Ranch Historic Park

Irvine Ranch Historic Park takes you back in time to Orange County’s agricultural years. To get to it, park in the Katie Wheeler Library parking lot. It will be behind the library. While not a natural space, the area feels open with a lawn, small orange orchards, a gazebo, picnic patio, etc. The library is a replica of the ranch house owned by the Irvine family that burned in 1965. It stands in its exact original location. The transition from the library being managed by the county now to the city is underway. Replica farm worker houses are on the northeast end. The picnic tables and lawn are currently first come, first serve and cannot be reserved ahead of time. Run by OC Parks. Call (949) 923-3748 for additional inquiries.
