Description
Hillcrest Park was initially built in the 1920’s and 30’s during the Great Depression. The stonework lining the park’s walkways and driveways were built during this era. The Hillcrest Recreation Center and the Boys and Girls Library (not in operation) are also from this era. They were built in 1927 and are the oldest buildings in the park. If you take one of the inclined driveways to the top of the park, there are multiple lawns with views of the Orange County skyline. The driveway on Valley View Drive is better to use than the one on Lemon Drive. The one on Lemon Drive is not as safe because it’s hard to see oncoming traffic. A stairs network was introduced in 2017 on the northwest end of the park. A parking lot on North Harbor Boulevard is used for that. The stairs are popular for people to use for exercise. Run by City of Fullerton. Call (714) 738-6575 for more info.
