Summary
Although Santa Ana was mostly developed by the 1940’s, this historic museum has properties from the late 1800’s, when it was still very undeveloped. The Kellogg House, built in 1898 and home to city’s first city engineer, was relocated 5 miles from its original location to this grounds in 1980. It’s one of the first Victorian styled homes in the county and is open to the public for tours on select weekends. The 12 acre grounds also includes the John Maag Farmhouse (built 1899, relocated 1981), three courtyards, and a nature trail area in the back. Public events are regularly held here in addition to the public museum days. The public can also reserve the grounds for special events.
Note: Navigation takes you to the adjacent school parking lot when navigating to this museum. This is okay because the museum uses the same school parking lot for its guests.
