Summary
Craig Regional Park has lots of small hills and slopes, distinct from the other regional parks. Upon paying the parking attendant and entering the park, guests can drive along the rolling roads to any area of the grounds. The trees, hills, and landscaping gives it a picturesque scenic look. Most of the land is federally owned by the United States Army Corps of Engineers, due to the Fullerton Dam, which they built on the park’s south end in the 1940’s. The park itself is still operated by OC parks. The 57 State Freeway runs parallel to the park on its eastside, so traffic noise can be heard in certain areas. Most use the park for casual visits to the playgrounds or for hosting gatherings under one of the shelters. Parking fee is $5 on the weekends and $3 during the week.
