Description
Armstrong Grove is a congregation area inside Carbon Canyon Regional Park in Brea, CA. It’s near the tennis courts, so turn left immediately after entering. It will be on the left side just before the courts. While all areas of the park are worth checking out, this one is singled out because of the very old looking trees that shade the picnic tables. Additionally, barbeque grills and an empty green space are on location. A potential drawback is that it’s right next to Carbon Canyon Road, which makes it noisier than other park locations. The tables are also not covered by a shelter, unlike some of the other benches at the park.

Armstrong Grove no longer shows as available to reserve on the OC Parks online reservation system. Free for drop in use, and still believed to be $100/day to reserve. Call for more information.
