Summary
This is a large uncovered picnic area within Irvine Regional Park, also known as Group Area #1. It’s right off the parking lot and there will be a sign for it from the road when you reach it. It’s situated in between the pond and the Orange County Zoo, and it’s about a 1 minute walk to get to either. There are several picnic tables here that can seat up to 200 guests and several trees are scattered throughout them for shade. This entire park has an old western feel as it’s Orange County’s oldest park, and the oldest county park in the state, established in 1897. Several structures have remain unchanged here.
