Description
The Duck Club at the San Joaquin Marsh & Wildlife Sanctuary can only be accessed when turning onto Riparian View from Campus Drive. It’s an indoor facility that was used as a gathering area for hunters. They shared meals here and built rapport with each other before and after hunting trips. Hunting was permitted under a California Fish and Game Department license which was active until 1988. The house still stands today no longer for hunting purposes, but is available to reserve for social gatherings. It’s managed by the Irvine Ranch Water District, so you must live in an area they provide water to reserve. If so, then it can be reserved at no charge. It has a kitchen, bathroom, dining area, fireplace, and large meeting area. Call (949) 453-5300.
